506HT type deoxygenation catalyst (cylindrical)

506HT type deoxygenation catalyst (cylindrical)

This catalyst is a noble metal–semiconductor system. It is primarily used for catalytic removal of oxygen from hydrogen and hydrogen-containing gases, and is also widely used for hydrogenation deoxygenation of inert gases such as nitrogen, argon, and helium. Its working principle is: when the feed gas passes through the catalyst, oxygen impurities in the gas react with hydrogen to form water, thereby achieving deoxygenation. The 506HT catalyst features high catalytic deoxygenation activity, deep purification, large gas processing capacity, wide operating temperature and pressure range (no sintering at 650℃), no need for activation or regeneration, high mechanical strength, no pulverization, and stable activity over years of continuous use. Notably, compared to tantalum catalysts on activated alumina supports, it exhibits superior resistance to poisoning by H₂S、SO₂、Cl₂、NH₃, and other toxic substances. It offers energy savings, safe operation, and convenient handling in industrial applications.

Instructions for Use:

1. Fill the upper part of the catalytic tower with 20cm high inert alumina ceramic balls.
2. The gas flows through the catalytic tower from top to bottom.
3. Load the 506HT catalyst uniformly into the reactor, and purge the air from the system with nitrogen.
4. Introduce the gas to be purified, and the system is ready for operation.
5. When using this catalyst, no pretreatment, activation, or regeneration is required by the user; it can be used continuously for many years.
※ Note:
If the oxygen content of the gas to be purified is ≤0.4%, the self-generated heat will not reach approximately 100℃. In this case, the deoxygenation unit must be heated to maintain the catalyst operating temperature at about 100℃ to ensure stable long-term catalytic deoxygenation operation.
