Inner Mongolia's green hydrogen industry has achieved fruitful results: demonstration projects of Huadian and Datang have been launched, with multiple indicators leading the country

Recently, the industrial natural gas co firing green hydrogen demonstration project of Baotou Inner Mongolia Huadian Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was successfully implemented in multiple local companies, bringing new impetus to the optimization and upgrading of Baotou's industrial energy structure. This project has set three domestic "firsts": being the first to achieve industrial natural gas co firing with green hydrogen and use it for industrial energy supply; Achieve the highest proportion of industrial natural gas and green hydrogen co firing; It has the largest green hydrogen co firing scale of 2000 tons/year and was included in the "China Hydrogen Energy Development Report 2025" in May this year. At present, the company has signed agreements with multiple enterprises to jointly build 5 transportation routes and operate over 110 hydrogen powered heavy-duty trucks.
At the same time, the Datang Duolun 150000 kilowatt integrated wind solar hydrogen production technology demonstration project in Duolun County, Xilingol League has also achieved significant results. In April of this year, the new energy generation end and hydrogen production end were jointly debugged, achieving a demonstration of coupling wind solar fluctuation hydrogen production with traditional coal chemical industry. As of now, the green hydrogen plant has been operating continuously for over 3600 hours, producing over 14.5 million standard cubic meters of qualified high-purity green hydrogen and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by over 28500 tons.
As of now, Inner Mongolia has built 7 green hydrogen projects, and in the first seven months of this year, the green hydrogen production under the direct connection mode of green electricity reached 4100 tons, leading the country. Next, Inner Mongolia will coordinate and plan to create a green hydrogen industry pilot zone and promote pilot demonstrations of the hydrogen energy industry.
