HM-(I) Dehydrogenation Catalyst – Specifically Designed for Oxygen and Oxygen-Containing Atmosphere Purification

Release time:

Sep 04,2026

Trace hydrogen in oxygen – invisible and small in quantity, yet it must be thoroughly removed in industrial purification and safety protection. Dalian Sanda Gas Purification Technology Co., Ltd. developed the HM-(I) Dehydrogenation Catalyst precisely to address this challenge.

Covering a Wide Range of Applications
The HM-(I) Dehydrogenation Catalyst is applicable to oxygen dehydrogenation purification in industrial water electrolysis for hydrogen and oxygen production, as well as hydrogen elimination in enclosed spaces such as electrolysis workshops, hydrogen operation rooms, satellite facilities, power stations, battery rooms, and submarines. It is also suitable for dehydrogenation purification in electrochemical medical oxygen generators.

Core Product Advantages
The HM-(I) Dehydrogenation Catalyst features three outstanding characteristics:

· Designed specifically for oxidizing environments: Leveraging the synergistic effect of metal oxide supports, this catalyst is especially effective in catalyzing the hydrogen‑oxygen reaction in oxidizing atmospheres such as oxygen and air, achieving efficient hydrogen removal.
· Long-term use without regeneration: With high stability, the catalyst can operate continuously for extended periods under normal conditions without requiring regeneration, significantly reducing maintenance costs.
· High low‑temperature activity and thorough hydrogen removal: It maintains high catalytic activity at a low temperature of 130–150 °C, and the residual hydrogen content after purification can be controlled below 1 ppm.

Easy to Operate – Ready to Use
The HM-(I) Catalyst is simple to use: fill the upper section of the catalytic tower with a 20 cm layer of inert alumina ceramic balls, and allow the gas to flow downward through the tower. After loading the dehydrogenation agent into the reactor, heat it to 130–150 °C under a small oxygen flow for venting. Once the temperature is stabilized, introduce the oxygen or oxygen‑containing gas to be purified, and the dehydrogenation process begins.

Serving Major Domestic New Energy Projects
As water electrolysis hydrogen production accelerates, the demand for purifying oxygen as a by‑product is growing in tandem. Our HM-(I) Dehydrogenation Catalyst has been deployed in multiple hydrogen/oxygen production and industrial safety projects, effectively controlling residual hydrogen levels in oxygen and ensuring stable process operation and site safety.

With its precise positioning for oxidizing atmospheres, long‑term stability without regeneration, and high‑efficiency purification at low temperatures, the HM-(I) Dehydrogenation Catalyst continues to serve diverse fields including electrolytic hydrogen/oxygen production, hydrogen safety, medical oxygen generation, aerospace, and power storage. We remain committed to advancing gas purification technologies and delivering superior products and solutions to our customers.
