Recently, good news came from the first phase of the Xing'an League Goldwind 2 GW Wind Power-to-Green Hydrogen Demonstration Project – it has achieved full-capacity grid connection, marking a key milestone for this comprehensive demonstration project with a total investment of ¥13.6651 billion.
The first phase, a 250 MW wind power project, commenced construction in September 2025. It includes 33 wind turbines and 284 collector line towers, with an estimated annual power generation of 762 million kWh. The green electricity is transmitted via a newly built 220 kV substation to the "Goldwind Hydrogen & Methanol No.1 220 kV Substation" and then delivered to the Xing'an League Economic and Technological Development Zone, where it is used for alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production and green methanol synthesis.

The project is planned in three phases. It is an innovative project integrating wind power development, green hydrogen production, and green methanol manufacturing. Leveraging the high-quality wind energy resources of Jalaid Banner, and adopting models such as "wind-thermal bundling" and "green hydrogen production from electricity," it effectively addresses the challenge of renewable energy curtailment. Currently, Phase I has been fully completed and grid-connected; Phase II broke ground in April this year; and the preliminary work for Phase III is being expedited. When fully completed and operational, the project will achieve an annual output of 92,200 tons of green hydrogen and 561,800 tons of green methanol, upgrading the banner's new energy industry toward a full-chain, high-value-added direction and supporting the high-quality development of the green hydrogen economy.

Notably, on April 28, 2026, Goldwind Green Energy Hydrogen Technology (Xing'an League) Co., Ltd.'s "Xing'an League Goldwind Technology Wind Power-to-Hydrogen (Phase III) Project" received approval, with an additional investment of ¥2 billion. The hydrogen production capacity will reach 160,000 Nm³, with construction planned from September 2026 to September 2028, mainly including hydrogen production, compression, gas storage units, and supporting facilities.
