At COP28, Chinese and Foreign Entrepreneurs Focus on Carbon-Neutral Economy: Jointly Pursuing Green Development for a Better Future

During the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the "Sustainable Development Dialogue for Chinese and Foreign Well-known Entrepreneurs" was held in Dubai, UAE. This dialogue focused on the carbon-neutral economy, aiming to encourage the global business community to actively respond to the Paris Agreement and the action goals of the Dubai Climate Conference, and jointly address the challenges of global climate change.
Xie Zhenhua, the Special Envoy for Climate Change Affairs of China, stated that the role of businesses is crucial in achieving climate goals. Real solutions depend on technological innovations made by entrepreneurs in the production process. Policies may change due to government transitions, but once entrepreneurs identify development trends and innovative technologies, their cooperation will not be interrupted by geopolitical influences.
During the dialogue session, Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs had in-depth discussions on topics such as "The Impact of Global Carbon Neutrality on Businesses and Their Responses" and "Technological Innovation and Application for Corporate Carbon Neutrality." Renowned entrepreneurs from various industries shared their practices and experiences in promoting carbon neutrality and explored opportunities and challenges for future green development.
Entrepreneurs from energy, environmental protection, manufacturing, and other fields also shared their practices and experiences in promoting green development within their companies. They unanimously agreed that achieving carbon neutrality requires strategic planning from businesses, active exploration of technological innovation and application, and broad participation and support from governments, international organizations, and all sectors of society.
The dialogue also delved into the collaboration between Chinese and foreign companies in promoting carbon neutrality. There was consensus that Chinese and foreign enterprises have extensive cooperation opportunities in promoting green and low-carbon development. They can strengthen collaboration through technical exchanges, industrial cooperation, and other means to jointly advance the achievement of global carbon neutrality goals.
This dialogue is significant in promoting closer cooperation between Chinese and foreign enterprises in addressing climate change. By sharing practices and experiences, these companies can better understand each other's needs and strengths, and jointly explore a green, low-carbon, and sustainable development path. Simultaneously, it provides a platform for exchange and cooperation among entrepreneurs, fostering mutual understanding and collaboration that can lead to greater contributions to the global effort against climate change.
Looking ahead, Chinese and foreign companies will continue to enhance their cooperation, actively address climate change challenges, and jointly promote green and low-carbon development.
