Middling coal Erdos Launches the World's First 100000 ton Liquid Solar Project Bidding

Middling coal Ordos Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. recently invited public bidding for engineering supervision services for its 100000 tons liquid sunlight project. The project aims to produce green hydrogen by electrolyzing water from renewable energy sources such as solar and wind energy, and then synthesizing green methanol with carbon dioxide generated from coal chemical industry. The highlights of the project include a hydrogen production capacity of 21000 tons/year through electrolysis of water, with a total investment of approximately 1.699 billion yuan.
The bidding scope covers the engineering supervision and related services of the chemical project. The planned construction period of the project is 24 months, and the EPC general contracting contract is expected to be signed in 2024. It is expected to be fully put into operation in 2026. The project will construct core facilities including large hydrogen storage tanks, compression systems, methanol synthesis and distillation, as well as a series of supporting facilities.
This bidding marks the substantive advancement of the world's first large-scale liquid solar project, and is expected to set a new benchmark for the sustainable development of the global green energy and chemical industries.
