Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang of the State Council attends the 6th China Russia Energy Business Forum to promote cooperation in promising fields such as hydrogen energy

Recently, Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, attended the opening ceremony of the Sixth China-Russia Energy Business Forum in Moscow and read out a congratulatory letter from President Xi Jinping. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, this forum further consolidated and deepened the energy cooperation between China and Russia, demonstrating a comprehensive, wide-ranging, deep-seated, and high-level cooperation pattern.
Ding Xuexiang emphasized in his speech that China and Russia should continue to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and build a closer energy cooperation partnership. He put forward three suggestions for deepening cooperation: firstly, to solidly promote energy trade and investment cooperation, especially in the promising fields of renewable energy, hydrogen energy, and carbon markets, and jointly promote the landing of large-scale projects; The second is to pragmatically expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy industry chain, strengthen the integration of upstream, midstream, and downstream energy, improve cross-border infrastructure, and enhance the level of industry university research cooperation; The third is to strengthen the coordination and cooperation among multilateral platforms, and jointly promote the establishment of a fair, just, balanced and inclusive global energy governance system.
Ding Xuexiang also said that China will unswervingly deepen reform and promote Chinese path to modernization. The door to opening up will be wider and wider, providing more development opportunities for the world. He warmly invited Russian companies to actively participate in China's modernization construction and share the fruits of China's development.
The forum's theme focuses on "Deepening China Russia Energy Cooperation, Promoting Energy Security and High Quality Development", attracting more than 400 representatives from both China and Russia, including government departments, energy enterprises, financial institutions, research institutions, and industry associations. The successful holding of this forum has injected new impetus into energy cooperation between the two countries and provided useful reference for global energy governance.
