Envision Energy Brazil signs contract to build the first SAF hydrogen ammonia zero carbon industrial park

Release time:

May 16,2025

On May 14th, it was announced that Envision Energy will provide key technologies for a landmark net zero emission industrial park in Brazil, helping it build Latin America's first "zero carbon industrial park".

Previously, during Brazilian President Lula's visit to China, a high-level agreement was signed that Envision Energy would be responsible for providing electrolysis and green ammonia production systems for the park, in order to promote the production of green hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and build a "green petroleum ecosystem". This measure is of great significance for the global development of green energy.

The zero carbon industrial park will integrate renewable energy, biomass energy, hydrogen energy, and ammonia energy technologies to produce green energy products such as direct substitute aviation fuels. Zhang Lei, Chairman of Envision Energy, emphasized that Brazil plays a crucial role in the global green transformation, and with its abundant biomass energy and renewable electricity, it is expected to become the most important green oil production center in the world.

It is worth mentioning that earlier this year, the Brazilian government selected 12 hydrogen energy projects to compete for $10 billion in international investment. Envision Energy's statement has made it stand out and occupy a leading position in the development of multiple hydrogen energy industrial centers in Brazil. At present, Envision Energy is actively promoting the planning of its factory in Brazil, planning to replicate the successful experience of large-scale green hydrogen and ammonia energy projects in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia to Brazil. In addition, the Brazilian government has approved a tax exemption policy for 3 gigawatts of hydrogen and ammonia production capacity to accelerate the project development process. The final investment decision (FID) is expected to be announced later in 2025.
